Titanium alloy piston thermo-mechanical coupling simulation and multi-objective optimization design

To solve the problem between temperature and thermal stress of a titanium alloy piston, multi-objective optimization method combined response surface methodology experiment design is performed to calculate an optimal piston. Firstly, thermo-mechanical coupling analysis, static dynamic characteristics analysis are carried out. The results show that load has significant influence on Secondly, five dimensional parameters chose as variables through sensitivity analysis. piston stress, deformation, mass, first ring groove selected objective functions. By using space-filling method, sample points functions gained. Then, mathematical relationship them obtained by method. Finally, genetic algorithm employed optimize model. After optimization, maximum deformation decreases 3.05%, 27.85%, mass reduces 5.46%. 12.54%. This study can provide reference for design.
